Costs
The Climbing Wall is free (after the, one time, $5 orientation fee/year) for all students and members of the Student Recreation Center. Climbing shoes, harnesses and helmets are available for use at no charge.
New policy effective May 2009: Climbing wall certifications valid for one year (until August 15, 2010)
How to obtain a bouldering pass:
If you're new to the Climbing Wall or no longer have a bouldering pass, attend a bouldering orientation ($5).
If you have a bouldering pass that is current (orientation taken after May 1, 2009), it is valid until August 15, 2010. No further action required.
If you have a bouldering pass that indicates orientation taken prior to May 1, 2009, you will need to renew your Climbing Wall membership by retaking your bouldering orientation and completing a new Risk & Release Form. During Fall 2009, as we transition into one year passes, your $5 fee will be waived with proof of a current WSU bouldering pass. You will be issued a new bouldering pass, valid until August 15, 2010.
Non-students can purchase passes from the Outdoor Recreation Center Rental Shop once having attended the orientation class.
