Change Takes Action
NEW!! Check out photos from the Eco Adventure trip to Saline Valley!
WSU Eco Adventures are outdoor recreational programming opportunities that are joined with ecologically positive action. WSU Eco Adventures promotes sustainable use of the outdoors through modeling positive user relationships with the environment. This program is a collaboration between the Center For Civic Engagement and University Recreation.
WSU Eco Adventure programming includes 7-8 trips per year locally or within the region and 2-3 feature trips a year, beyond the region. WSU Eco Adventures seeks to build and develop standing relationships with agencies, organizations, land managers, non-profits and course instructors.
WSU Eco Adventures programs within 150 miles of Pullman, WA for a variety of reasons. This reduces the time lost on a trip to travel, cost of travel and adverse environmental impacts of driving. Additionally, this promotes placed based learning in areas that participants may visit in the future or include in other projects, enhancing; citizenship in the communities that our participants live and recreate in.
