Bouldering Wall

The mission of Washington State University's Outdoor Recreation Center is to promote self-efficacy, leadership development, positive interpersonal relationships, and environmental stewardship by providing a wide range of opportunities for WSU students and community members to experience the outdoors.
New Home for ORC
The Washington State University's Field House Annex, which houses the Outdoor Recreation Center and Bouldering Wall, will be demolished in early 2013, as part of the overall campus master plan, and in conjunction with other university capital projects. While no services will be eliminated, services will be impacted. Please note the anticipated changes.
Climbing Wall
The WSU Bouldering Wall is permanently closed as of December 6, 2012.
University Recreation is scheduled to begin the construction of the new climbing wall during the latter portion of the spring semester or the beginning of the summer session. The brand new facility is scheduled to be operational before the Fall 2013 semester!
We’ve been offering free weekly shuttles to the UI climbing wall since January. Due to lack of use, we are eliminating this service. It sounds like many of you have linked up and found your own transportation to UI. If you would like to continue to find rides to the UI wall, consider using Zimride. WSU has a network account and it’s free for anyone with a WSU email address. Or, now that the weather’s warming up, consider riding a Green Bike.
