11/20/2009 Thanksgiving in Utah: Hiking & Camping Bryce Canyon & Zion National Parks

Come spend your Thanksgiving Break on a once in a life time adventure at two of America’s most beautiful national parks on the Colorado Plateau. Bryce Canyon will put a spell on you with its magnificent Hoodoos! Hoodoos – “a pillar of rock, usually of fantastic shape, left by erosion” tower over everything creating gigantic natural amphitheaters. From here, we will travel up the road to Zion National Park where we will encounter glorious waterfalls, amazing cliffs, and incredible sunsets. This trip entails 9 days of camping underneath a majestic starlit sky and many miles of day-hiking. Bring your adventure pants and get ready for the adventure of your life!! (Level 2) Good physical conditioning is necessary, little experience is required, and little technical knowledge is necessary. There is a mandatory pre trip meeting for this trip. This pre trip meeting is designed to give patrons the necessary information for the trip as well as answer any questions. The Pre-Trip meeting for this adventure is on Monday, November 16th at 6:30pm in the Outdoor Recreation Center.
