10/02/2009 Eco Adventure: Selway Bitterroot Wilderness Care and Camp

This is a great hike for first timers looking to get out in the woods and give back to the land, Plus you will have an opportunity to soak in the Stanley Hot Springs. Washington State University will work with in collaboration with The Selway-Bitterroot Foundation on a Trail Project. Your project is campsite restoration and trail work on the trail to Stanley Hot Springs. You'll be camping in the Selway-Bitterroot Wilderness and enjoy 2 nights of camping under the stars. You can record service hours for your class, resume, or personal record: Eco Adventures are all completed in cooperation with The Center for Civic Engagement. The CCE has a new database for your convenience: http://cce.wsu.edu/default.asp?PageID=525 to create your account. NOTE: The CCE and UREC will not maintain a record for your service hours unless you create an account. (Level 2) Good physical conditioning is necessary, little experience is required, and little technical knowledge is necessary. This meeting is designed to give patrons the necessary information for the trip as well as answer any questions. The Pre-Trip meeting for this Eco Adventure is Wednesday, September 30, 2009 at 6:30pm in the Outdoor Recreation Center.
