09/26/2009 Eco Adventure: Clean up and Climb at Granite Point

Enjoy a day of climbing at the local crag down in the scenic Snake River canyon. Thanks to the Army Corps of Engineers’ Adopt-a-River program, Granite Point has been adopted and is now a project site for WSU Eco Adventures. The climbing itself features several classics and routes that range from beginner 5.0 all the way to advanced 5.12’s. No experience is necessary and we supply all the rock climbing gear you might need. You can record service hours for your class, resume, or personal record: Eco Adventures are all completed in cooperation with The Center for Civic Engagement. The CCE has a new database for your convenience: http://cce.wsu.edu/default.asp?PageID=525 to create your account. NOTE: The CCE and UREC will not maintain a record for your service hours unless you create an account. (Level 1) This activity requires low levels of physical conditioning and no specific experience is necessary, technical skills are not necessary.
